Guidelines for the next class (November 8th)

By the next class, you should have reached the following targets:

1. 3000 words on your blog (including typing homeworks, book reviews, and so on)
2. 13 points remaining on book reviews (i.e. you have read 7 points' worth of books or more)
3. 1 podcast episode (My Podcast)
4. 4 posts (including the podcast episode) related to My Project

Introduction to Usborne Books

The first episode of my podcast is now available. In this episode, I talk about the history of Usborne Publishing, a leading publisher of children's books.

2nd class (October 4th, 2010)

A reminder first: Next week (October 11th) is a holiday, so there will be more homework this week!

And a couple of things about the course as a whole that I may not have made clear last week:

• You need to write a total of at least 10,000 words this semester
• You need to bring a USB flash memory stick to class.
• You need to write a total of at least 20 points' worth of book reviews

Homework:

• Book reviews 3 & 4 (depending on the level of books you are reading)
• at least 3 other posts (preferably at least 1 or 2 should be connected to your topic)
